She has a background in medical anthropology, and is passionate about understanding and challenging social/cultural narratives and biases we have around illness and health. She believes that NDs are uniquely suited to serve as primary care physicians due to the width and breadth of our clinical modalities, as well as our preventative framework. Logan is currently the Vice President of the NAPCP Board of Directors. When she remembers to have balance in her life, Logan can be found with her nose in a good fantasy/fiction novel and spending time with her roommate (ie. her cat, Ida).</image:caption>

With a background in hospital, urgent, and primary care spaces, Dr. Gordon’s goal is to provide high-quality and efficient medical care from a wide variety of perspectives. She resonates with the adage of doctor as teacher and holds firm to the belief of educating patients on standards of care and shared decision-making to enhance quality of life. Hannah uses naturopathic medicine as an additional medical lens through which to see an individual while also appreciating the many modalities learned to help manage chronic conditions and the healing process. Hannah is passionate about high-quality primary care and community health care, and improvement and expansion of ND education, residencies, and jobs. She believes that NDs are excellent primary care providers and need to be included more in the larger medical landscape to improve health outcomes.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Dr. Bender has followed the work and mission of NAPCP for the past several years and holds the organization in the highest regard. Its goal - to promote public safety, professional competency, and develop the skills of naturopathic primary care providers aligns closely with his own. As a naturopathic physician practicing primary and specialty care for the past 9 years, Dr. Bender has divided his time between clinic and education, having been an instructor at both Bastyr University and the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine teaching Grand Rounds, Anatomy and Physiology, Dermatology and Urology, and LGBTQ+ healthcare. As a dual degree practitioner, he also brings a unique perspective as he has found his training in Chinese medicine and naturopathic medicine inform each other and have places in primary care alongside one another. The importance of education has always been a root value of his, and as he has grown as an educator, Geoffery hopes to bring these skills to help offer expertise in programming and diversify primary care education and offerings to the organization. Personally, he has benefited greatly from the training provided by NAPCP, and it gives him great personal and professional satisfaction to join, help it grow, and help it to accomplish its mission.</image:caption>

There she found her passion for natural medicine after seeing first-hand the healing power of nature in the animals she treated. During that time, she also became interested in herbal medicine and preventative care. <image:caption>Dr. Michael Manning, ND, specializes in pediatric/family medicine primary care and adjunctive physical medicine care. Dr. Manning’s love of healthcare started from an early age seeing and hearing stories of his mom and grandmother practicing medicine in the hospital, classroom, and wartime settings. His first ventures were as a lifeguard instructor and EMT, teaching others emergency rescue, basic life support, and first-aid. He eventually fell in love with the idea of preventative medicine and transitioned from his degree in early childhood development to study nutrition. He earned his B.S. from the University of California, Davis in Clinical Nutrition and afterwards owned and operated an exercise and nutrition consultation business but the desire to practice medicine never truly left him. He then went on to Bastyr University where he earned his doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine. Coming full circle he now practices pediatric/family medicine with a keen focus on nutrition and prevention. When he’s not with family and friends you’ll find him with his partner in some body of water, foraging about the woodlands, or traveling to a new far off land. Once upon a time he used to sing in choirs and bands so you may find him occasionally humming in the halls.</image:caption>
