NAPCP Primary Care Position Paper

NAPCP STATEMENT 08/30/2021

As a national organization, The Naturopathic Academy of Primary Care Physicians (NAPCP) supports ongoing efforts from both state and federal entities to ensure the safety of all people. As such, NAPCP endorses the requirements and recommendations for the immunization of all healthcare personnel against COVID-19 to protect themselves, their patients and families, and their communities.

The NAPCP recommends practitioners follow CDC and public health guidelines regarding all matters related to COVID-19.

For ND specific guidance and business support, including telemedicine transition, see the AANP RESOURCE PAGE.

NAPCP STATEMENT 07/18/2021

The NAPCP is aware of the recent arrest of a licensed ND in California, on substantial charges of falsifying immunization records for both COVID-19 and routine childhood immunizations, as well as profiting from the sale of ineffective vaccine alternatives which leave affected individuals at risk of preventable illnesses. These allegations represent an egregious ethical violation and are diametrically opposed to the standards of primary care to which Naturopathic Physicians are trained. The NAPCP condemns this reprehensible conduct and fully supports the investigation into any wrongdoing by this individual.

The NAPCP's stance on the importance of immunization is clearly outlined in our position paper, and the academy strongly recommends all members to follow CDC/ACIP immunization guidelines.

Signed,

NAPCP Board of Directors
